Did you know? “Saturday is Pancake Day!”

Pancakes are a breakfast favorite, whether it’s for the family or a quick bite before school. And it doesn’t matter what time of year it is! A traditional pancake is made with flour, eggs, and milk. The batter is poured into a frying pan or griddle and cooked on both sides until golden brown. Then, it can be topped with anything from fresh fruit to chocolate chips and syrup.

A pancake recipe can be easily modified for any occasion, including special diets like gluten-free. In the United States, pancakes are often served as an entrée with a side of bacon or sausage. In the United Kingdom, pancakes are more commonly served as a dessert after lunch or dinner. They are also eaten as an afternoon snack by children in some countries around the world including Japan, where they are known as okonomiyaki (a savory version of this dish).

Add some extra flavour to your pancakes with a delicious topping!
