7 Tips on how to put your new born to sleep?

Here are a few tips for helping a newborn baby sleep:

  1. Establish a bedtime routine, such as a bath and feeding, a lullaby helps to signal the baby that it’s time for sleep.
  2. Keep the environment dark, quiet and calm to minimize stimulation.
  3. Rock or gently sway the baby before putting them down in their crib.
  4. Swaddle the baby securely to help them feel safe and secure.
  5. Place the baby on their back to sleep, as this is the safest position for infants. Placing baby on their back also reduces the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
  6. Avoid over-stimulating the baby before sleep, such as playing games or turning on the TV.
  7. Use a pacifier: if the baby takes one, it can be a comfort tool for them during sleep.
